Sustainable fashion is the result of making #RashinalFashion choices. Clothes, accessories, shoes, etc. things people wear everyday without giving it a second thought, what happens to these clothes heavily made up of materials like polyester and nylon? They either end up taking 200 years to decompose on our planet or grounds or with people who use it to stitch new items of clothing.
Making sustainable fashion choices and practicing them must reduce or atleast attempt to not harm the environment and the ecological system. As consumers of fashion, we need to understand the urgency of the situation and make a conscious decision to purchase clothes that are either made of materials that are easily decomposable, upycled, decreases landfill waste, lowers our carbon footprint, purchased from a thrift shop, created in good working conditions, etc.
Fast fashion is the leading evil cause, with brands offering new clothes every season and urging consumers to look trendy with new fashion garments and wear the recycled fashion from the 90's to look up-to-date, it has created a need to look acceptable and that to be so one must fit into the inconsistent definitions of it. With just the right amount of capitalism, for momentary financial benefits brands forget the deadly after effects that continue to linger for centuries.
The key factors to keep in mind are - shopping from fashion brands with good ethics, healthy code of conduct, their contribution to reduce negative impact on the environment, quality of materials used, etc.

Because, this is where our money finds a home. Our planet is way beyond the stage of "prevention", but sustainable fashion is one of the best alternatives to reverse the damage done by baby steps. If we continue being mute spectators now, I'm assured of the fact that we humans will be dressed up handsomely to simply watch the world as we know end, and with it us.
Absolutely!
When the demand reduces, so does the supply.
Nicely written!
